Use this guidance to prepare a clear, evidence-led report.

Before you submit

  • Prepare a short chronology with dates and events.
  • Include receipts, invoices, terms, and relevant correspondence.
  • State the specific remedy requested.
  • Include prior attempts to resolve the complaint directly with the business.
  • Provide your contact details and preferred response method.

Submitting a report does not guarantee that we will investigate or publish it. Every report is assessed against evidence and public-interest criteria.
